This survey identifies the changes consumers are making to their behaviour and purchasing as a result of environmental concerns. As such, it helps us predict which categories, companies and brands are likely to succeed or suffer as a result of greater ecological awareness.
The survey includes a set of screener questions that identify the climate change early adopters – the people that tend to catch on first and then act as a precursor to the mainstream. These are not fringe eco-extremists, but eco-advanced ‘normal’ consumers. We monitor the attitudes and behaviour of these early adopters to provide a gauge of where the broader market is going. We also use this survey to paint an accurate picture of how the total UK population segments in terms of levels of eco knowledge, interest and action and to track how this picture changes over time.
Clients use this tool to assist in the development of climate change strategies, to gauge awareness and understanding of their activity in the climate change arena and to explore particular sub issues relating to climate change.
