As CR itself has evolved, so the role of the CR report has become clearer and more specific. We have played a part in this process throughout, from developing stakeholder based reports through to issue driven reporting.
CR reports are not a catch all way to tell every stakeholder what is going on in the business (consumers certainly don’t read them) and therefore should not be seen as the solution to CR communication.
However the process of reporting - pulling together all of the different activity that is going on across the business, putting it in the framework of your real issues and collectively communicating it - does help the organisation work out where it has come from and where it needs to go.
